I think is has been around six months since I have written in my daily blogg! I had a little bit of a shock when people, friends and collegues began telling me they were reading my blog. I got comments like; interesting; interesting mix between the personal and professional; juggling; it was refreshing to hear your voice (it is amazing how comments stick in your head- and when they are e-mails some times you just don't know what tone they come from) So I suppose these comments that came to me I decided to panic and start sewing seeds of doubt and worried for all this time about what people will think of me - is this a good thing to do?
Well enough of writing like this because doubt is growing in me again. I have had a really good day today. It was international women's day and also labour day, a public holiday! I worked in local government for a community event totally organised by community members with the local community health centre - it was nice not to really organise a thing; I took photos and had a lot of great conversations with other women. Lots of women with great stories, inspiration - one comment which I liked was "what is good for women is good for the world!" I helped to make rad pads, they are pretty cool - might invest in one of these for myself, for refugee women.
Also I did paper work which is satisfying to get things off my list crossed off and slowly things are coming together for the mum's journal group I am organising; sorted out public liability issues, which involved a very long walk along simpsons road past the football ground and the two lakes here in eaglehawk.
Starting a women's studio based community arts group tomorrow - had a dream about the workshops over the weekend; great women and vibes - they were taking place at my auntie's mud brick house!!!
