Naughty me - not writing in here for a few weeks. Life has been pretty crazy settling into motherhood - Jase has gone back to work and because he does shift work and 2 to 3 sleep overs a week it is really challenging to get bubby sleeping etc at night to even get my meal together or go to the toilet. It is amazing really no one can really explain what it is to become a parent and care for a small child.

I went to my first mothers group today facilitate by the local maternal health nurse (it was a bit boring really) - it was amazing when she asked us all what problems we were facing or what had been hard and all our babies were perfect angels! - Sleeping was a very big topic and my little baby is the worst sleeper in the group; he is still waking every 3 hours for a feed and often this is for an hour before we are both lying back down again. I seem to be surviving Ok; but tomorrow I don't want to rush around anywhere and have a little nap during the day I haven't done this for a week now and must be due.

I got an e-mail finally today from the women who is facilitating the pannel talk in Cairns in "do it yourself arts career"! - I can't believe she has left it this late and has chosen to first contact us through e-mail and expects that we have developed what we will talk about before she even has talked to us about her ideas! (getting a bit tired and picky here) - luckily I expected this to happen and have been using my free writing time to develop my ideas about what I will talk about - I try and write 3 pages a day - Mum instructs me that this is a great way to keep your creativity flowing and alive. It is quite enjoyable and before bubby arrived my writing was a lot more inventive and prose like. I am a bit listy now in my writing and planning out activities!

An arts writer who is nearly twice my age came to visit me today to talk about his possible ideas to take place in allanswalk - I felt a little flattered and taken a back as I feel that I am no authority really to critic ideas. He really likes talking and his head goes 100 times faster with ideas and thoughts; his life, like mine is a series of projects, and scheming.

I am tyring to get in contact with a CCD worker in Qld at the moment; I have read alot about her work and want to share my ideas with her - I like her e-mail address; schemer! That is what us artworkers are - schemers!
