Silly sort of world in post partum pregnancy - today I received a phone call from Arts Victoria to sit on one of their assessment pannels! Which is something that is very exciting and something that I hoped I would always been asked to do -

What I will be doing is reading other artists and artsworkers and community groups grant applications to arts vic new community grants and using a criteria to assess the applications - I am told there will be 40 in all.

It is only one day to sit on the pannel and I will be sitting with 7 other artist and arts workers based in Victoria - they all sound a lot more experienced than me - and a lot older; will be very exciting to meet them and join in discussions about the applications about art in the community. Should open my eyes nice and wide!

Kadel has been brilliant today I have had a lovely day - yet to get the vaccuum cleaner out and dust up the house- he is asleep so a perfect time to get cleaning - I love a lovely neat house and home.

jase is cleaning up the garden and working hard to get it looking lovley for summer - will be great to spend time in the garden and experience a bit of shade! Carzy to have such and old house with such a crappy garden.

Today on the classic ABC program a philospher from Canada on was speaking - I think he is doing a talk in Sydney on the idologies of interior design - he had heaps of really interesting things to say - I like to hear ideas about how we make choices about the interior of our homes - especially in the light of all those stupid home rennovation shows - it is funny them looking at their work and others and assessing it - they all look the same and they all based on ready made and designed stuff from big furniture stores that are on every suburban block, all they did was spend a lot of money standing behind a shoppping trolly - they should have a show on real people's homes and the treasures to be found from the tip, skip bins and op shops - there are some fantastic interior designed homes in Bendigo.
